Cardwell Home Furnishings has been a family owned and operated store since 1936. The late Ballard and Treecy Cardwell started the store in Middlesboro, which is now owned and managed by their son, Bill. The original store was located at the corner of 19th and Lothbury Street and burned in 1995. After a short stint in the smaller building that was for used furniture, Bill purchased the historic Blue Bell Factory Building.
The new building, approximately 45,000 square feet, is located at 120 South 19th Street in Middlesboro, KY. The interior was remodeled, and today houses the largest furniture store in the area. With a unique selection of furniture from quality, name brand manufacturers, Cardwell Home Furnishings provides residents of the area with free, local delivery.
Cardwell Home Furnishings continues in the rich tradition of friendly service and competitive prices that began in the 1930s.
